Q: Will Rubber Care make my tires shiny? A: No, and that is the point. It leaves a deep new rubber look, matte satin and dry to the touch. If you want wet gloss, buy someone else's product. Shiny wet dressings are dirt magnets that make your tires the dirtiest part of your car within days. Q: Does it sling onto my paint? A: No. There is no wet slimy film left behind to fling off the tire as you drive. That is what the wipe off step is for. Spray it on, let it soak, wipe with a damp towel and then a dry towel, and what is left is in the rubber, not sitting on top of it. Q: How long does one application last? A: It depends on how much you drive, where the vehicle sits, and whether you are washing regularly. Figure thirty to sixty days on its own. Keep the tires clean with Wash Wax ALL and it runs longer than that. A garage kept car goes much further than one parked outside in the sun. Q: How do I apply it? A: The tire has to be clean and dry first. Spray it on, let it soak at least ten minutes, then wipe with a damp towel followed by a dry towel. That wipe off is what creates the matte satin finish. Longer soak is better. There is no penalty for leaving it while you do something else. Q: Can I apply it in direct sun or on a hot tire? A: Yes. Sun and heat are not a problem with Rubber Care. Q: Is it safe on my paint if I get overspray on it? A: Yes. It is water based. Wipe overspray off with a damp towel and you are done. No staining, no etching, nothing to scrub. Q: Will Rubber Care remove the brown on my tires? A: No. Cleaning removes browning, and that is Tire Soap's job. Scrub the sidewall thoroughly and rinse, and the brown comes off. Rubber Care goes on after the tire is clean and dry, and what it does is help slow the browning from coming back. Q: Is it safe on RV rubber roofs? A: Yes, on EPDM and TPO rubber roofs.
